Meet the Teacher… Oh, Wait… That’s Me!

Published August 6, 2012 by Mindi Vandagriff

Meet the Teacher Night is fast approaching! And I haven’t even been to my new classroom yet. No worries. I fall asleep at night thinking about what it will look like and where I will put everything. I may not know where everything is going to go yet, but I do know that it will be the best place for your child to learn! I have couches, comfy chairs, and rugs galore. I don’t believe in desks (until they make me use the desks); I just want your child to be in a comfortable environment… one that fosters learning. Most of the time, my learning takes place with my laptop in my lap while I’m sprawled out on the couch! Hopefully that will happen this year in my classroom too! 🙂 I’ll post more about that later! But for now, I need you to know that Meet the Teacher Night is on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. I can’t wait to meet you! I am excitable and loud and I will mostly likely hug your child 🙂 Please bring your school supplies that evening. I will allow your child to put away some of his/her supplies (community supplies) and then he/she will put away personal supplies (those that will stay at his/her desk). You can find the 3rd grade supply list below:

Meet the Teacher Night should only take about 30 minutes. Maybe a little more, because I tend to ramble. But I love, love, LOVE to talk about your favorite thing: YOUR KID! I will have a couple of things for you to fill out while your child puts up his/her supplies. You can get a head start by completing this Student Information Form online!

Can’t wait to meet you! 🙂
